About these Interactive Data Dashboards

Both dashboards are populated with data extracted from the RMPDS Montana Poison Center. Data refreshes are expected annually in August. Any questions related to the dashboard should be directed to poisoncenter@rmpds.org.

Both dashboards are interactive and allow users to view RMPDS Montana Poison Center data. You can select single or multiple options to refine your search.

1. Interactive Filters

    Select values from one or more interactive filters to adjust charts on the dashboard.

2. County Maps

    Drag to select multiple counties or hold Ctrl and click to select multiple counties. These maps filter the dashboard! To bring the dashboard back to the normal data display, click the selected county or counties.

3. Charts with Dashboard Filtering Capability

    County Maps, Management Site vs Exposure Site, Top 15 Exposure Categories, and Age Distribution charts have dashboard filtering capability.  Select a value from the chart to filter the dashboard. Click on the chart again to bring back to the original data display. 

 

 

 

 

Aspiration (with ingestion)

An exposure by the pulmonary route (tracheal). This route usually pertains to liquid or solid agents and occurs during or following an ingestion. 

Bite/sting

An exposure resulting from an animal/insect bite or sting with or without envenomation.

Dermal

An exposure involving the skin, hair or fingernails.

Exposure 

Actual or suspected contact with any substance which has been ingested, inhaled, absorbed, applied to, or injected into the body, regardless of toxicity or clinical manifestation. 

Ingestion

An exposure by the oral route. Exposures in which the material was put in the mouth but unlikely to have reached the stomach are also classified as ingestions. 

Inhalation/Nasal

An exposure by the pulmonary route (tracheal or nasal). This route usually pertains to gaseous or vaporized agents.

Ocular

An exposure involving the eyeball.

Other

Any other route of exposure not listed.

Otic

An exposure to the ear or ear canal with or without perforation of the tympanic membrane.

Parenteral

An exposure resulting from the injection of a substance into the body.

Rectal

An exposure involving the rectum where the implicated substance was physically placed in, applied to, or instilled in the rectum.

Unknown

The route of exposure is unknown.

Vaginal

An exposure involving the vagina where the implicated substance was physically placed in, applied to, or instilled in the vagina.
